PACKWOOD - Cecil C. GARRELS, 69, died at 10:20 a.m. Monday at his farm near Linby.
Services are set for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church of Packwood, with the Rev. Donald Harbour officiating.
GARRELS was born Aug. 17, 1909 at Mount Pleasant, the son of Bert E. and Tracey LONG GARRELS.
A retired farmer, he had lived in the Packwood and Linby communities since 1922. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Packwood and the Packwood Lions Club.
On May 30, 1932, he married Edith ZEPP near Pekin. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Dr. Dale GARRELS, Mount Pleasant; one daughter, Mrs. Ella May RUPPERT, Washington; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence, Farson, and Albert, Wilton Junction, and two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle WITTINGTON, Estherville, and Eva KNOX, Fort Madison.
The family requests memorials to the Packwood Methodist Church. Fremont Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
