Mrs. GILMER, Tucson, Dies

Mrs. Alice GILMER died May 24 in Valley House Convalescent Home in Tucson, Ariz. She suffered a stroke seven years ago and had been bedfast since. Burial took place in Tucson.

Word was brought to Fairfield Tuesday morning by her only living relative, Mrs. Madeline GRAHAM PARRY of Artesia, N.M.

Mrs. GILMER's husband, John, preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1970. Both were Fairfielders, and Mr. GILMER retired from the local post office in 1943. The couple moved to Artesia in 1947.

Mrs. PARRY arrived in Fairfield Tuesday to visit her aunts, Mrs. W.S. JOHNSON and Mrs. C.L. CARTER and other local relatives. She has been working at the Pricipia in St. Louis the past year and is retiring and moving back to her home in Artesia.

Two weeks ago, the former Fairfielder's son, Hugh William PARRY II received his law degree from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. His uncle, Milt GRAHAM also attended the ceremony.
