BRIGHTON - Henry William MINEART, 85, died suddenly about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday while in Washington.
A retired carpenter and farmer, he had lived most of his life in the Pleasant Plain and Brighton communities.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain with Father Jonathan C. Simmons officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
The casket is at the Gould Funeral Home in Brighton where Prayers for a Christian Wake will be conducted Friday evening at 8:15 p.m. Knights of Columbus Rosary will follow.
Henry William MINEART was born April 27, 1888, in Kansas, the son of Christian and Christina POHREN MINEART.
He was married Jan. 18, 1910, at St. Joseph Church to Grace LAMANSKY, who survives.
MINEART was a member of St. Joseph Church, Knights of Columbus at Washington and Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree at Harper. He lived in the Pleasant Plain Community until 1918 when he moved to a farm home north of Brighton.
In addition to his wife, he is survivied by eight sons and three daughters: Sylvester of Fairfield; Raymond, Falls Church, Va.; LeRoy, Brighton; Harold, Brighton; Maynard, Kennewick, Wash.; Curtis, Washington; David, Norwalk; Maurice, Annadale, Va.; Mrs. Christine McCLINITIC, Richland; Mrs. Margaret ANDERSON, Fairfield; and Mrs. Evelyn GEVOCK, Brighton.
Other survivors include 50 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret ROTZINGER, Brighton; Mrs. Emma JACOBS, Eldon; and Mrs. Magdeline McCOY, Yucca Valley, Calif.
MINEART was preceded in death by one son and four brothers. A memorial has been established to the Heart Fund.
