Mrs. HINSON Dies at 73

Mrs. Roy W. HINSON, 73, 604 S. Highland, passed away about 6 a.m. today at her home.

She had undergone tests at the Jefferson County Hospital Thursday but her death this morning was sudden and unexpected.

The body is at the Raymond Funeral Home where last rites have been tentatively set for Monday afternoon. Those wishing further information concerning the rites may call the funeral home after this evening.

Dr. and Mrs. HINSON had arrived home Monday afternoon after having spent five months in Sarasota, Fla.

Dr. HINSON suffered a heart attack Feb. 22 while in Florida and their return trip to Fairfield was delayed about a month while he recuperated from his illness.

They made the trip home by plane while their son, Dr. and Mrs. Rex HINSON, Marshalltown, flew down and drove their car back for them.

Mrs. HINSON was the former Ruth WORLEY of Richland. She and Roy W. HINSON were married June 8, 1921, in Richland. HINSON, an optometrist, operated a jewelry store in Brighton at the time. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1971.

In 1933 HINSON purchased the Anstead Jewelry Store in Fairfield and moved to this community. They have made their home in Fairfield since.

The HINSONs are the parents of three sons: Dr. Rex HINSON, Marshalltown; Dr. Daniel HINSON, Des Moines; and J. Philip HINSON, Boston; and 10 grandchildren.
