Services for Marjorie BROWN

Memorial services will be held in Evergreen Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday for Marjorie J. BROWN, sister of Dorothy HARPER SIMMONS, 50 S. Park.

The services will be conducted by the Rev. Clair Odell. The Raymond Funeral Home is in charge of the services.

Services were held at the Scheer Funeral Home Dec. 30, 1983, in California, followed by cremation.

Marjorie J. BROWN, 67, former resident of Fairfield, died December 26, 1983, at Chico, Calif.

She was born June 27, 1916, in Kennabeck County, Minn., the daughter of Clifford Walter and Mary SCHAFER SIMMONS. The family moved to Fairfield where Marjorie attended Central School, which is now the McElhinny House and graduated from the Fairfield High School. She attended the University of Iowa for two years.

She moved to California in 1936 where she made her home the remainder of her life. She retired to Oroville four years ago.

Survivors include two son, David and Warren ZUNDEL, her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. C.W. SIMMONS of Oroville; four sisters, Verla CARTER, Porterville, Calif.; Edna HUDGENS, Durham, Calif.; Alice WADE, Oroville; and Mrs. SIMMONS, Fairfield.

Other survivors include a half-brother, Wesley SIMMONS, Sacramento, Calif.; a number of step-brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother.
