William Douglas WORKMAN

William Douglas WORKMAN, 62, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A service is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home & Crematory in Fairfield with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. The body has been cremated. Burial will be at a later date in Hillsboro Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends is 4-6 p.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home & Crematory.

Memorials may be made to the family. Cards and memorials can be mailed to Donna WORKMAN, 911 N. 10th St., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. WORKMAN was born Sept. 11, 1950, in Fairfield, the son of Charles WORKMAN and Anna BARNETT. He married Linda HOAGE and they later divorced. He married Donna SCOTTON May 12, 1978, in Fairfield.

He lived in Fairfield his entire life.

He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.

He worked at Frontline Printing as a press operator assistant, and worked many years at FALCO and Iowa Malleable.

He was a member of the Eagles Club and VFW of Fairfield.

Survivors include his wife, Donna WORKMAN of Fairfield; two children, Charles "Curtis" WORKMAN and spouse Mayree of Fairfield and William Douglas WORKMAN Jr. of Alamogordo, N.M.; one grandson; his mother, Anna WORKMAN; one sister, Kelly WILLIAMS of Ottumwa; and one brother, Richard WORKMAN of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles WORKMAN; one brother, Charles WORKMAN; and one sister, Sue LOWE.
