Delilah Mae MOORE

Delilah Mae MOORE, 62, of Fairfield, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A funeral is at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at Behner Funeral Home & Crematory in Fairfield with Danny Cary officiating. The body will be cremated. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Campbell's Cemetery in Milan, Mo.

Visitation for family and friends is 6-8 p.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family. Cards and memorials can be sent to Katrina MOORE, 702 W. Washington Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. MOORE was born Feb. 4, 1951, in Fairfield, the daughter of Jennings W. HOSTETTER Sr. and Lillian L. WHITE. She married Daniel MOORE in 1969 and they later divorced.

She worked for 20 years as a CNA and six years as a truck driver.

She lived in the Fairfield her entire life (sic).

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed family gatherings. She liked to cook and bake pies.

She enjoyed cats and horses. She liked watching Chuck Norris movies and listening to oldies music.

She would have liked being able to drive a truck again.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary GORDY and spouse David of Batavia and Katrina MOORE of Fairfield; four grandchildren; three step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Jennings HOSTETTER of Fairfield; six sisters, Diana METZ and Barbara HATTON both of Fairfield, Becky CALCOTE of Columbia Mo., Cindy NICHOLS of Lockridge, Jackie KERSHAW of Colona, Ill., and Christy TAGUE of Branson, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Roberta RUTH.
