Jack L. FIDLER, 53, former Fairfield resident, died Saturday at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Neb. He had been ill since last December.
A service was held this morning in Ashland, Neb. A service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m., at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. John Wilken officiating. Interment will be Memorial Lawn cemetery with military rites.
Fidler was born Sept. 23, 1923 at South Bend, Neb., the son of James and Olive ROSE FIDLER. On March 28, 1948, he was married to Emma Mae GIBERSON.
He has been a truck driver with Admiral Merchants for many years. He is a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, two sons and one daughter, Ricky of Omaha, Ryan of Ottumwa, Sheryl of Omaha; three grandchildren; three brothers, Jeff FIDLER of Ashland, Neb., Jim FIDLER of Memphis, Neb., and William FIDLER of Wahoo, Neb.
Six sisters also survive: Mrs. Ed COPSEY of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Frank JOHNSON of Gunnison, Colo., Mrs. Harlee HAWELL of Gretna, Neb., Mrs. Tommy DONOVAN of Omaha, Neb., Mrs. Richard DEAN of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Earl DUNDIN of Ashland, Neb.
