Thursday, May 19, 1977B. GILTNER Dies At 92
BATAVIA - Bert A. GILTNER, 92, died Thursday at his home west of Batavia. A pioneer breeder of Angus cattle, he farmed most of his life in Batavia area.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Batavia United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Clifton officiating. Burial will be in Batavia Cemetery.
The casket will be taken to the church Saturday at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at 7:30 tonight at the Campbell Funeral Chapel.
Giltner was born May 27, 1885 in Wapello County, the son of George and Susan DORR GILTNER. He was married to Merle CREMER in 1905. She preceded him in death. On Aug. 23, 1911 he was married to Anna WALKER, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Max GILTNER, Batavia, and three grandchildren, including Mrs. Marilyn MORRISON, Washington, D.C., who was reared in the GILTNER home. Four great-grandchildren also survive.
