Timothy Wayne GARY, 9, 309 Wilson Blvd. died at 2:45 p.m. Monday at University Hospitals in Iowa City, where he had been admitted Sunday evening. His death was caused by congestive heart failure.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Keith Lingwall officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Raymond Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the American Heart Association or to Ronald McDonald House in Iowa City.
Tim was born Dec. 8, 1974 in Fairfield, the son of H. Walter and Ann E. THOMPSON GARY. He had just completed third grade at Washington Elementary School. He attended First Lutheran Church, was a member of Cub Scout Pack 67, Den 2, at Wshington (sp) School and was a member of Martin Drug's Little League Minor Baseball Team.
Tim is survived by his parents; a brother, Scott, a sister, Heather, both at home; a grandmother, Martha Esther THOMPSON of Lee's Summitt, Mo.; a grandfather, Hugh R. GARY of Las Vegas, Nev.; an aunt, Myrna L. GARY of Washington, D.C., and an uncle, Richard K. THOMPSON of Fairfield. His maternal grandfather and paternal grandmother preceded him in death.
Tim's father runs the Jefferson County Ambulance Service.
