Last Rites for H.B. HOLMES

BATAVIA - Henry B. HOLMES, 84, died this morning at his home in Batavia.

The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m., at Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia. The Rev. Earl Menning will officiate. Burial will be in the Batavia Cemetery.

Holmes was born Feb. 16, 1893 in Moorfield, Ark., and lived in Batavia for 47 years where he was engaged in trucking until his retirement.

He married Maude CONNER in February, 1930. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Geraldine PHILLIPS of Batesville, Ark.; one stepson, Frank SMITH of Batavia; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one sister.
