Cecil NELSON, 71, dies in Texas

Cecil NELSON, 71, native of Jefferson County, died Sunday at Splendore, Texas, where he had made his home for the past 15 years. His death followed a lingering illness.

The body was cremated. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. June 10 at Packwood Cemetery.

Cecil NELSON was born Aug. 27, 1912, near Salina, the son of Albert and Nora CARNEGY NELSON.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Sue MYERS, Des Moines; a step-son, C.D. HUFFMAN, Sigourney; a brother, Roy NELSON, Fairfield; and a nephew, Emery NEFF, Packwood. He was preceded in death by a sister.
