Miss JOHNSON Dies at 54

LOCKRIDGE - Edna C. JOHNSON, 54, Lockridge Route 1, died at 9 a.m. today at the Jefferson County Hospital.

Arrangements are pending at the Raymond Funeral Home. She is survived by her father, Martin JOHNSON, Lockridge; and two sisters, Mrs. Robert COUNTRYMAN, Fairfield; and Mrs. John GEORGE, Lockridge.

Set Time For JOHNSON Rites

LOCKRIDGE - Last rites will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield for Edna C. JOHNSON, 54, who died Saturday at the Jefferson County Hospital.

The Rev. Linwood Monte will officiate and burial will be in Lockridge Cemetery.

Edna C. JOHNSON, longtime resident of the Lockridge Community, was born July 21, 1918, at Mount Pleasant, the daughter of Martin and Bessie LONG JOHNSON.

She had been employed at the Fairfield Glove Co. in Fairfield for 26 years. She was a member of the Augustana Lutheran Church in Lockridge.

Survivors include her father, Martin JOHNSON, Lockridge; two sisters, Mrs. Robert COUNTRYMAN, Fairfield, and Mrs. John GEORGE, Lockridge, one niece and four nephews. She was preceded in death by mother.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
