B. DURHAM dies

Bertha L. DURHAM, 91, Route 2, Fairfield, died at 12:25 p.m. Friday at Sunrise Terrace in Winfield. She had been ill the past 1 1/2 years.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul D. Griffiths officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Bertha L. DURHAM was born at Kirksville, Mo., July 14, 1889, the daughter of John and Ellen DAVIS OSBORN. She had lived in the Fairfield Community for over 50 years. Her marriage to Sherman DURHAM took place Oct. 3, 1931. He died Oct. 1973.

She is survived by the following sons and daughters: Sylvia FISHER, Rock Island, Ill.; Harry SEE, Melcher; Lauretta ADLER, Fairfield; Margaret MICKELS, Fairfield; Beulah ANDERSON, Knoxville; F.E. DURHAM, Arbela, Mo.; Donald DURHAM, Arbella; Ruth REYNOLDS, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Kenneth DURHAM, Petaluma, Calif.

Other survivors include two brothers, Wilbur OSBORN and Opal OSBORN, both of Kirksville, Mo.; 19 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Admin. note: Buried in Lot Evergreen 16 - space 1. She was Sherman's second wife, and he is in Lot Evergreen 17 - space 6. These are adjacent lots and they share a gravestone. Bertha's year of birth on her gravestone mistakenly reads 1891.
