January 22, 2004Florence M. Hart, 89, formerly of Douds died at 10:05 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at Bloomfield Care Center in Bloomfield.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Phil Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, east of Douds.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral. The family will be present from 7-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials to Eldon Depot Restoration, Wapello/Davis County Hospice or Bloomfield Care Center activity fund may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 20148 Highway 34, Blakesburg 52536.
Mrs. Hart was born Jan. 2, 1915, west of Bloomfield, the daughter of Thurman and Mamie Green Teeter. She married Paul J. Hart March 26, 1938, at Lancaster, Mo. He died Jan. 3, 1987.
Mrs. Hart grew up in rural Van Buren County and Eldon. She worked at Parsons College in Fairfield. She lived for many years in Eldon, where her husband was employed by the Rock Island Railroad. They later farmed near Douds, then retired to Douds in 1986. She entered the care center Nov. 27, 1996.
Mrs. Hart was a member of Bethel Worship Center, southwest of Douds.
Survivors include three brothers, Glenn Teeter of Agency, Clyde Teeter of Eldon and Lloyd Teeter of Bethany, Mo.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Helen Humble; and two brothers, Jack Teeter and Gerald Teeter.
