Darlene Louise LEAHY

Darlene Louise LEAHY, 65, of Batavia, died at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Batavia with the Rev. Garry Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Batavia Cemetery in Batavia. Open visitation will begin at noon Saturday with the family present from 7-8 p.m. at Kremer Funeral Home in Batavia. Memorials may be directed to the Gospel Lighthouse Church.

Mrs. LEAHY was born Feb. 24, 1934, in Batavia, the daughter of George and Opal McCLEARY MAIRET. She married James LEAHY June 17, 1972, in Minnesota.

A 1952 graduate of Batavia High School, she lived in California for many years before moving back to Batavia in 1993.

She was a member of Gospel Lighthouse Church.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Gene MAIRET of Batavia and Kimball KELLETT of Chino, Calif.; one daughter, Susan LEAHY of Corona, Calif.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, LaVelle RIDGEWAY, Rose MAIRET and Marge MAIRET, all of Fairfield, and Juanita JONES OF Ottumwa; and one brother, Les WEBB of Ottumwa.
