Bonnie FRANKLIN

Bonnie FRANKLIN, 84, of Winfield, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield.

A graveside service is at 11 a.m. Friday at Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery, with the Rev. Ramona Wink officiating. The body has been cremated.

A time of fellowship and a luncheon will be held at the Winfield United Methodist Church following interment.

A general memorial has been established in her name.

Honts Funeral Home in Winfield is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. FRANKLIN was born Aug. 30, 1928, in Burlington, the daughter of Odas and Mildred PARTINGTON SAPP. She married Donald FRANKLIN June 11, 1946, in Mount Pleasant. He died June 14, 2009.

She attended Winfield High School.

She worked for eight years at Mental Health Institute in Mount Pleasant. She also worked at Fran's Café, Mediapolis Care Center, Henry County Health Center and was a homemaker.

She was of the Presbyterian faith.

She was a member of the Winfield VFW Auxiliary.

She loved to read as well as spend time with family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Beckie JONES of Fairfield and Ellen RICE of Morning Sun; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one great-grandson and one sister.
