Louis C. DROZ Rites Monday

Louis C. DROZ, 87, 106 W. Stone, died at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Park View Care Center where he had been a patient for the past 17 months.

Last rites will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Ross Winner officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Louis C. DROZ was born Nov. 30, 1885, in Jefferson County. He was the son of Louis and Julia DROZ DROZ. Reared and educated in Jefferson County, he was a retired Dexter Co. employee.

He was united in marriage to Mable (sic - Mabel) SPEER who preceded him in death Dec. 11, 1966.

Survivors include five sons, Harley, Lloyd and Clarence, all of Fairfield; Charles, New London; Dale, Louisville, Ky.; two daughters, Mrs. Esther JACQUIN, Fort Worth, Texas, and Mrs. Blanche HENDRICKS, Fairfield.

Also 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a step-sister, Mrs. Mary ERICKSON, Calif.

In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by a great-grandchild, five brothers and one sister.

IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF THE STATE OF IOWA IN AND FOR JEFFERSON COUNTY

IN THE MATTER OF THE ESTATE OF LOUIS C. DROZ, DECEASED.

TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE ESTATE OF LOUIS C. DROZ DECEASED:

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 17TH DAY OF APRIL, 1973, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF LOUIS C. DROZ DECEASED BEARING DATE OF THE 17TH DAY OF JULY, 1971, WAS ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT BLANCHE E. HENDRICKS WAS APPOINTED EXECUTOR OF SAID ESTATE.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ANY ACTION TO SET ASIDE SAID WILL MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF SAID COUNTY WITHIN ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, OR THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ALL PERSONS INDEBTED TO SAID ESTATE ARE REQUESTED TO MAKE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT TO THE UNDERSIGNED, AND CREDITORS HAVING CLAIMS AGAINST SAID ESTATE SHALL FILE THEM WITH THE CLERK OF THE ABOVE NAMED DISTRICT COURT, AS PROVIDED BY LAW, DULY AUTHENTICATED, FOR ALLOWANCE; AND UNLESS SO FILED WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE (UNLESS OTHERWISE ALLOWED OR PAID) SUCH CLAIM SHALL THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.
