Marjorie Leona SHAFER, 93, of Blair, Neb., died at 5:20 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.
The funeral for will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Robert Meanor officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church.
Mrs. SHAFER was born July 24, 1907, in Eldon, the daughter of Albert E. and Amanda LEEPER LYONS. She married Frank P. SHAFER at the Germanville Lutheran Church. They spent 63 years together before he died Dec. 4, 1988.
She had lived all of her married life in Jefferson County until she moved to Omaha, Neb., to be near her daughter. She was a farm homemaker.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church until she moved and then joined St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathryn MOON of Omaha; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Marilyn HALE; two brothers, Robert and Dale LYONS; and one sister, Gladys LYNN.
