Violet E. ALLERDICE, 89, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1992, at Parkview Care Center.
She was born March, 18, 1903, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Frank and Ellen CARLSON ENGWALL. She married Alex T. ALLERDICE on Feb. 23, 1927. He died March 13, 1973.
ALLERDICE was a homemaker and had lived all her life in Jefferson County. She previously was a member of the First Augustana Lutheran Church in Lockridge and has been a member of the First Lutheran Church of Fairfield.
Surviving are one son, Jim ALLERDICE of Fairfield; one daughter, Doris HARDER of Newhall; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Bell ALLERDICE; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Gilbert ENGWALL; and a sister, Ruth HUMPHREY.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Behner Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Sweden Lutheran Cemetery near Lockridge.
Family visitation is 7 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church and the Alzheimer's Treatment Center.
