Bert Lives JESTER

Bert Lives JESTER, 63, of Fairfield, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Kilbourne Cemetery (note - in Van Buren Co., IA).

Visitation for family and friends is an hour prior to the service, 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the family. Cards and memorials can be mailed to 801 S. Seventh St., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. JESTER was born Nov. 1, 1949, the son of Bert Vankirk and Anna Belle WRIGHT JESTER. He married Deborah Diane PRUDEN Nov. 26, 1976, at Free Methodist Church in Fairfield.

He was a lifelong resident of the Fairfield community.

He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and had worked at the Pentagon.

Throughout the years he worked at Iowa Department of Transportation, Fairfield Water Department, NAPA Auto Parts, Walmart and last worked in maintenance for Logan Apartments.

He was a member of Fairfield Eagles Club No. 1927 and the Riverview Golf Club in Keosauqua.

Survivors include his wife Deborah JESTER of Fairfield; two daughter, Shon GUERRERO and spouse Glen of Maders, Calif., Jamie WILLIAMS and spouse Donald of Fairfield; one son, Bert Matthew JESTER of Fairfield; eight grandchildren; and five siblings, Jim JESTER of Kilburn, Mike JESTER of Keosauqua, Bonnie SCOTTON of Birmingham, Debbie PROCTOR of Libertyville and Marlene BUFORD of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
