Dorothy COOLEDGE, 89, of 305 E. Jackson Ave., died at 10:21 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at Jefferson County Hospital.
The body has been cremated. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County. Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. COOLEDGE was born Nov. 9, 1910, in McKees Rocks, Pa., the daughter of Alvin Enos and Annie CHARLTON PIERCE. She married John Harold BOBBITT in 1934. He died. She then married Robert G. COOLEDGE July 1, 1951.
She had been a resident of Fairfield since 1993. She had been an executive secretary and purchasing agent for several school districts in California.
Survivors include her husband, two daughters, Abigail LAWRANCE of Santa Clara, Calif., and Betty Sue GAGE of Phoenix, Ariz.; one step-daughter, Diane PORTER of Fairfield; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, James Pierce BOBBITT; and one sister, Anna Pierce STOCKWELL.
