March 24, 1982Regina C. LONG dies at 32
Regina C. LONG, 32, 409 Heatherwood Circle, a resident of Fairfield for five years, died suddenly Tuesday morning at Jefferson County Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Lingwall officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Lupus Foundation of America Inc.
Mrs. LONG was born Sept. 22, 1949 in Tulsa, Okla., the daughter of J.W. and Betty CLAGG MOORE. She was raised in Cheyenne, Wyo. On June 5, 1970 she married Jerry W. LONG in Cheyenne. He survives.
Also surviving are her mother; one sister, Tina ARNOLD of Tulsa and one brother, Richard C. MOORE of Greenville, Texas.
Mrs. Long received her bachelor of arts degree in elementary education from University of Wyoming. She taught in the Cardinal School District for four years as a learning disabilities instructor. Since resigning from the Cardinal schools, she wrote books. She was chosen as an outstanding young woman in America in 1979 and was a member of the Iowa Association of Children with Learning Disabilities.
