Services for W.R. YEAGER

W. Roy YEAGER, 85, of Carolina Village, Hendersonville, N.C., died Wednesday morning in the Hendersonville hospital.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Carolina Village Hall. A memorial has been established to Carolina Village Endowment Fund, Hendersonville, N.C.

YEAGER was born in Jefferson County, the son of John C. and Eliza YEAGER. He attended Iowa State University and retired from Western Electric Company as department chief in 1959 after 37 years. He was a specialist in wood products and wood preservation. He was a WWI Army veteran and a member of First United Methodist Church in Hendersonville.

Surviving are his wife, Florence K. YEAGER of Hendersonville; a son, John R. YEAGER of Windsor, Conn.; a daughter, Roseanne PARRETT of Westfield, N.J.; a sister, Edith KING of Livingston, Mont.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
