Russell TAYLOR

Russell Millard TAYLOR, 84, of 604 w. Harrison, died this morning at Jefferson County Hospital.

He was born July 29, 1903, in Jefferson County, the son of Millard and Allie Belle FRY TAYLOR. He farmed in the Libertyville and Batavia area for 13 years and then in the Fairfield area for four years.

He married Willa McCLURE Dec. 22, 1926, in Ottumwa.

He was a member of the Ottumwa Shrine, Ottumwa consistory, York Rite Consistory, Kaaba Shrine 32nd degree, Kilwinning No. 198, Fairfield Shrine Club and the Keep Young Club.

Taylor is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mary Margaret BOYLE, Fairfield; Linda POLK, Russellville, Ark.; and Carol BACHI, Taylors, S.C.; two sons, James and Stuart both of Batavia; one sister, Fern WALTMAN, Ottumwa; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Rex, and two sisters, Florence and Hazel.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Behner's Funeral Home with the Rev. Shirley Meenderinger officiating. Burial will be in the Fell Cemetery.

Masonic Rites will be Sunday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with visitation to follow. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon on Sunday.

A memorial has been established for the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children.
