David BOUGHTON, 52 of Cantril, died at 6:22 p.m. Sunday at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

David J. BOUGHTON, 52, of Cantril died at 6:22 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In accord with his wishes his body has been cremated.

Memorials to the family may be mailed to P.O. Box 201 Cantril 52542.

Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua is assisting the family.

Mr. BOUGHTON was born Oct, 8, 1960, in Monmouth, Ill., the son of Harry and Edna MILLER BOUGHTON. He married Tamara Jo COLLETT Oct. 18, 1980, in Ottumwa.

He grew up in Monmouth and moved to Ottumwa as a young man.

He had worked as a line cook at the Best Western Fairfield Inn and Walton Club both in Fairfield and was currently a self-employed handyman.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Matthew BOUGHTON of Ottumwa and Aaron BOUGHTON and spouse Kim of Greenville, S.C.; one daughter, Falon GIRE and spouse Mike of Douds; six grandchildren; four brothers, Michael BOUGHTON of Eldon, Leonard BOUGHTON of Sperry, Kenneth BOUGHTON of Colchester, Ill., and Robert BOUGHTON of Oquawka, Ill.; three sisters, Linda McBRIDE and Cathy HOPKINS, both of Oquawka and Deborah GUZMAN of Mendota, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
