Mildred Ruth Martin
January 15, 2004Mildred Ruth Martin, 86, of 1856 185th St., died at 10:04 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, at Jefferson County Hospital.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home and Crematory, with the Rev. David Nicholson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Family visitation will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Jefferson County Park for wildlife habitat.
Mrs. Martin was born June 29, 1917, in Fairfield, the daughter of Edgar and Minnie Booth Neiswanger. She married Gerald A. Martin in 1936.
Mrs. Martin was a lifetime resident of Jefferson County. She graduate from Fairfield High School and was a farm homemaker. Her hobbies included feeding birds, flowers and gardening.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Everett Martin and wife Sharon of Stoutsville, Mo., and Galen Martin and wife Susan of Fairfield; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Helen Harrison and Mary Louise Whitham.
