Page 8, col. 3.Mrs. Cillisa (Celatha) Jane SIMMONS, one of the oldest residents of Jefferson County and one of the pioneer settlers, died at her home near Four Corners this morning after a week's illiness with measles. Mrs. SIMMONS was born in Illinois Sept. 21, 1831 and when a young girl moved to Jefferson County where she spent the remainder of her life. At the age of 16 she was married to Riley SIMMONS, who died about 12 years ago (sic - in 1897). Mrs. SIMMONS is survived by the following children: Mrs. Mattie LITTON, Winterset; Mrs. Mary PETERSON, Kansas; Mrs. Etta NELSON, Albia; Charles of Maxberg; Mrs. Lela LINDY, Frank and Sam, all in California; Mrs. Lulu HOPKINS of Penna.; Mrs. Alice BANCROFT, Kansas, and Mrs. Della VOORHIES of Four Corners. Besides her children, Mrs. SIMMONS is survived by one sister, Mrs. Lusetta WEBB of My. Ayr.....
