Illness Fatal To Glen S. CHEZUM

Glen S. CHEZUM, 83, 413 North B, died Friday at 11:10 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been in failing health for two years.

Last rites will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. George Koch officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

CHEZUM was born May 21, 1889 in Tacoma, Wash., the son of Harvey and Emaline SMITH CHEZUM. He was married to Minnie ARNOLD Feb. 15, 1912.

A retired molder and auctioneer, CHEZUM had been a resident of Fairfield since 1911.

He is survived by his widow and the following children: Mrs. Emma YEOMAN and Mrs. Ruth SCHNEIDER, both of Fairfield; Mrs. Betty MOWERY, Rock Island, Ill.; Ralph and Harry CHEZUM, both of Fairfield; Donald CHEZUM, Knoxville, Ill.; and John CHEZUM, Viola, Ill.

Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
