Kenneth Elmer BAKER, 79, of Mission, Texas, and formerly of Fairfield, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at his home.

A graveside service is being planned for a later date.

Kenneth 'Kenny' BAKER

Kenneth "Kenny" BAKER, 79, of Mission, Texas, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at home.

A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. BAKER was born April 14, 1933, in Fairfield, the twin son of Samuel Ross "Frank" and Ophelia "Offie" SNYDER BAKER.

He married Beverly CALHOUN, they later divorced. He married Marie FISHEL. She died in June of 1997.

He retired from FALCO where he had worked 47 years. He also farmed.

Survivors include one son, Tom BAKER and spouse Kathy; one daughter, Colleen MATSON and spouse Charlie; six grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Eloise STEWART and Millie BAKER; two brothers, his twin Keith BAKER, and George BAKER.

Kenneth Elmer BAKER

A graveside service for Kenneth Elmer BAKER will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 26, at the Antioch Church, 7 miles north of Fairfield, with the Rev. John Bennedict officiating.

Kenneth, at age 79, died in Mission, Texas, at his home on January 23, 2013.

Kenneth was born April 14, 1933, to Samual (sic Samuel) Ross "Frank" and Ophelia "Offie" Pearl BAKER. He was a twin brother of Keith BAKER of Birmingham, Iowa.

He is survived by one son, Paul Thomas BAKER and his wife Kathy; one daughter, Colleen MATSON and her husband, Charlie; grandchildren, Sean and Jacque BAKER, Brad and Amy BAKER, Zachary MATSON, Jessica MATSON and Sarah MICKELS.

He worked for FALCO for 47 years and farmed southeast of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie, his parents, all of his brothers and one sister.

Kenneth's mother Ophelia's maiden name is noted as SNYDER, however she was the daughter of Elmer and Sarah Jane (SNIDER) STEELE so perhaps SNYDER is Ophelia's second middle name; in our cemetery listings she's noted as Ophelia Pearl (STEELE) BAKER.
