Frank WORKMAN, 89, formerly of Fairfield, died Tuesday evening, Jan. 22, 2013, at Marigold Nursing Home in Galesburg, Ill.

The funeral is set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Howard Innis officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to: www.raymondfuneralhomes.com.

A memorial has been established to the family.

Mr. WORKMAN was born Henry Franklin WORKMAN on Nov. 22, 1923, in Arbela, Mo., the son of Orin Curtis and Mary Esther ARTHUR WORKMAN. He married Betty J. MONTGOMERY May 17, 1952, in Kahoka, Mo. She died March 8, 2003.

Mr. WORKMAN grew up in Missouri and lived most of his life in Fairfield. He worked as a laborer at Iowa Malleable Iron Company for 34 years beginning in 1952 and retiring in 1986.

Survivors include children: Marcia CHOWNING of Sugar Creek, Mo.; Dianna CRONKHITE of Fairfield; Elizabeth Kay WORKMAN of Durant; Charlotte JONES of Fairfield, Maine; Becky BRAGG of Cedartown, Ga.; Michael WORKMAN of Galesburg, Ill.; Renee WORKMAN of Cedartown, Ga.; adopted daughter, Melody PARRISH of Fairfield; 28 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and one sister, Mary Ann HANTULA of Spokane, Wash.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Frankie WORKMAN; five brothers; and one sister.
