Rodney E. PEARSON, 74, 103 E. Madison, retired farmer, died of cancer at 8:25 a.m. today at Jefferson County Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Faith United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Wilken officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery near Libertyville. Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds is in charge of arrangements. Memorials to Mr. PEARSON's church may be left at the funeral home.
PEARSON was born Dec. 20, 1907 in Jefferson County, the son of Charles E. and Pearl McCLAIN PEARSON. He farmed in the Mt. Zion community southwest of Libertyville until retiring to Fairfield in 1976.
Surviving are a brother, Glenn of Libertyville; six sisters, Grace FRAIZER of Huneston, Nellie DAVISSON, Beulah PEARSON and Kathryn PARKS, all of Fairfield, Gladys BACHMANN of Milton and Florence HORN of Pulaski. His parents and a brother preceded him in death.
He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, an Army veteran of World War II
