Danny Dean Essary, 52, of 903 W. Burlington Ave., died at 1:10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at Jefferson County Hospital.

According to his wishes, the body was cremated. Family and friends may pay respects from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at 903 W. Burlington Ave.

Memorials may be made to the family at 903 W. Burlington Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. Essary was born Jan. 11, 1951, in Fairfield, the son of Donald and Donna Snook Essary. He married Barbara Olson Sept. 26, 1982, in Fairfield.

Mr. Essary lived most of his life in the Fairfield community. He worked at Perfex in Washington, Iowa. He played guitar and sang and was a painter by trade along with working in different factories in both Washington and Fairfield. His pastimes included fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting and gardening.

He was affiliated with Fairfield Free Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; his mother; and three brothers, David Essary, Dennis Essary and Donny Essary, all of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his father.
