ARMSTRONG Rites To Be Thursday

LIBERTYVILLE - Ralph ARMSTRONG, 92, Libertyville, died at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 1, at the Good Samaritan Home in Ottumwa.

Last rites will be at the Weston Behner Funeral Home Thursday, Jan. 4, at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Jerry Yancey will officiate and burial will be in Fell Cemetery at Libertyville.

Ralph ARMSTRONG was born June 22, 1880, in Libertyville, the son of William Edgar and Elvira WILLIAMSON ARMSTRONG. He spent most of his life in Jefferson County.

He was married June 1, 1910, to Martha May STULL who died July 20, 1962. ARMSTRONG had been a farmer for over 50 years.

Survivors include two sons, David L. ARMSTRONG, Mount Pleasant, and James F. ARMSTRONG, Fairfield; one step grandchild and one sister, Daisy EYESTONE, Winnebago, Wis.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, one brother and one sister.

Admin. note: Ralph was born in 1880 according to his obituary, but his age is shown as 28 in the 1910 census (taken in April) and he would therefore have been born in 1881. The Social Security Death Index gives his year of birth as 1881, also.
