Dale LaVerne Fitzwater, 74, of Fort Worth, Texas, and formerly of Fairfield, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, at his home.

A memorial service will be held from 8-9 a.m. Jan. 22 at Ginger Browns Restaurant in Fort Worth.

Shannon North Funeral Chapel in Fort Worth is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Fitzwater was born July 12, 1929, in Moline-Rock Island, Ill.

He was the owner of his own plumbing businesses in Fairfield and Texas. He started V & F Plumbing in Fairfield.

Mr. Fitzwater was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force in 1951.

He was a longtime member of the Eagles Club and enjoyed outdoor activities.

Survivors include four sons, Randall, Kevin, Russell and Dennis Fitzwater; two daughters, Diana and Sherry Fitzwater; three brothers, Keith, Ralph and Larry Fitzwater; and three sisters, Louise McFarland, Doreen Richardson and Kay Hoyle.
