HESTON Rites In Rock Island

Last rites for Fay HESTON, 85, of Rock Island, Ill., former Fairfield resident, were held Monday at 1 p.m., at the Larson Funeral Home in Rock Island. Heston died Thursday evening at Moline Public Hospital.

He was born March 11, 1891 in Fairfield, the son of Charles and Sarah AMOS HESTON. He was educated in Fairfield and farmed in Jefferson County until he moved to Rock Island in 1945 where he was a school custodian until his retirement.

He married Leah MARTIN in Fairfield in 1912. She died in 1942. He married Edna GAESER in 1945 in Rock Island. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Chester C. HESTON of Coal Valley, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Dick DROZ of Stockport; two brothers, Floyd of Davenport and LeRoy of Knoxville; two sisters, Mrs. Harold SOURS and Mrs. Edith CASE, both of Davenport; one grandson and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
