Francis Lee BAUM, 83, of Fairfield, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.
No services are planned at this time. The body has been cremated, according to his wishes.
Memorials and cards may be made to the family. Memorials may be sent to Debra CRAMBLIT, PO Box 322, Agency 52530.
Mr. BAUM was born Oct. 28, 1929, in Logan, the son of Floyd and Bertha MUMM BAUM. He married Phyllis MAYER June 13, 1987 in Fairfield.
Mr. BAUM lived in Fairfield for 20 years before moving to Ottumwa three years ago.
He was a janitor for First Baptist Church in Fairfield.
His hobbies and interests included woodworking, gardening and flowers.
Survivors include his wife; three stepchildren, Stephen MAYER of Costa Rica, Craig MAYER of Bentonville, Ark., and Debra MAYER CRAMBLIT of Agency; one brother, Roy BAUM of San Diego, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Alvin BAUM and Orville BAUM; ane one sister, Bearnice HILLMER.
