Frances SCHANTZ dies at 93

Frances LARSEN SCHANTZ, 93, of Parkview Care Center died there at 8 a.m. today.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Raymond Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Fairfield Public Library.

Mrs. SCHANTZ was born July 26, 1893 at St. Paul, Neb., the daughter of Lars and Juliana BROCK LARSEN. She lived all her life in St. Paul, Neb., and Fairfield. She received a teacher's certificate and taught for three years, was a housewife and worked at Iowa State Bank and Trust Company for a number of years. She married Dr. John Von Henry SCHANTZ Sept. 13, 1921 at St. Paul, Neb. He died Dec. 6, 1936. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Fairfield and PEO.

Surviving are a daughter, Sue BALCH of Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two brothers, Paul LARSEN of Grand Island, Neb., and Charles LARSEN of Detroit, Mich. A son, George, preceded her in death.
