Lloyd A. DROZ rites Thursday

Lloyd A. DROZ, 78, 807 West Stone, died at 9 a.m. today at Jefferson County Hospital, where he had been a patient since Wednesday.

Services are tentatively set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.

DROZ was born Dec. 20, 1908 in Jefferson County, the son of Louis and Mabel SPEER DROZ. He lived his entire life in Jefferson County. A former Dexter employee, he retired 14 years ago. He was a member of First Christian Church. He married Mildred SCOTT May 16, 1937 in Carthage, Ill. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, including Sharron BOWMAN of Fairfield; five grandsons; a brother, Clarence DROZ of Fairfield; two sisters, Blanche HENDRICKS of Fairfield and Esther JANQUIN of Fort Worth, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, a sister and a daughter.
