Edna Elmira Hemm, 36, of Mount Pleasant, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Beatty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Phil Campbell officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will begin at noon Thursday at the funeral home with the family present from 6-8 p.m.

A memorial in her name has been established to the family.

Ms. Hemm was born May 18, 1967, in Fairfield, the daughter of Darrell and Sharon Sammons Hemm. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1986 and from Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa.

She was employed with Hon Industries and RSJ Transportation for 11 years, and most recently at Pargon Products, a division of Lomont Molding in Mount Pleasant. She enjoyed crocheting, scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her mother of Mount Pleasant; her father and his wife Mary of Birmingham; three brothers, Jerry Hemm of Birmingham, Joe Hemm of Batavia, and Jason McIntire of Stockport; and two sisters, Susan Griglione of Mount Pleasant and Debbie Aspgren of Arlington, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
