Rachel L. BREWER

Rachel L. BREWER, 88, of Keosauqua died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

A funeral is at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with Lee McIntosh officiating. Burial will be in Harness Cemetery in Mount Sterling.

Visitation with the family will be 1-2 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.

Memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at P.O. Box 1, Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. BREWER was born April 14, 1924 near Granger, Mo., the daughter of Liona and Ella JUSTICE EICHELBERGER. She married Johnnie BREWER Dec. 23, 1939 in fort Madison. He died Nov. 24, 1985.

She grew up in the Granger and Mount Sterling areas and lived many years in Keosauqua.

She was a homemaker and assisted her husband in his garage business.

Survivors include one daughter, Ellen KREISS of Keosauqua; one son, James BREWER of Fairfield; one daughter-in-law, Melody BREWER of Mount Sterling; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Charlie BREWER; and one great-granddaughter.
