Norma L. COLE. 61, of Leisure Living Estates, died at 12:55 a.m. today, Tuesday, April 5, 1994, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA).

Arrangements are pending at Raymond Funeral Home.

Norma L. COLE

The graveside funeral service for Norma Louise COLE, 61, of Leisure Living Trailer Court, who died at 12:55 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 1994, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Evergreen Cemetery.

Friends may call at Raymond Funeral Home at their convenience. The casket will not be open. Memorials have been established to the Arthritis Foundation, Muscular Dystrophy and Noah's Ark.

COLE was born Nov. 17, 1932, in Scotland County, near Memphis, Mo., to Louie Roscoe and Mary Lee EGGERS BLAINE. She grew up in Bible Grove, Mo. The family then moved to Iowa and COLE was a longtime resident of the Fairfield and Washington, Iowa, communities.

She was married to Harvey COLE. She worked for more than 20 years at the Universal Producing Company in Fairfield and for the State of Iowa Liquor Commission. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, Fairfield Women's Bowling Association and was active in the Alzheimer's Support Group.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda COLE of Fairfield and Bobby COX of Atlanta, Ga.; one son (son), Doug COLE of Iowa City; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
