Blanche WALSHON

Blanche WALSHON, 78, of Forest Park, Ill., former Lockridge area resident, died at 12:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 1994, at Gottlieb Hospital in Chicago after a long illness.

The body was cremated and a memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Lockridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Newman officiating. Burial will be in Lockridge Cemetery.

Mrs. WALSHON was born Aug. 18, 1915, the daughter of Charles and Anna THOMSON SWANSON. She was raised in the Lockridge area and attended schools there. She lived in Decator (sic: Decatur), Ill., and later in Chicago area, where she married Henry WALSHON on Aug. 18, 1963. She worked for Baskins Clothing Store, a division of Hart Shaftner and Marx, in Forest Park for many years before her retirement.

Surviving are her husband of Chicago; a brother, Raymond SWANSON of Lockridge; a niece and three nephews. Her parents and a sister, Vera, preceded her in death.
