Eliza COOK dies at 90

Eliza R. COOK, 90, longtime resident of the Fairfield Community, died at 9:45 p.m. Thursday at the Parkview Care Center where she had been a patient since July 17, 1978.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Carl Riggs officiating. The Behner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Eliza R. COOK was born Aug. 21, 1891, in Sigourney, the daughter of James F. and Anna DOUGHERTY BASHAM. Her marriage to Harry W. COOK took place Sept. 6, 1911, in Fairfield.

She assisted her husband in operating Cook's Transfer for a number of years until his death Aug. 17, 1961. Mrs. COOK was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of Beta Sigma Circle.

She is survived by a niece, Mrs. Ed HANNEMAN, Fairfield, and a nephew, Charles BOWER, Topeka, Kansas.
