BRIGHTON - Andrew ZIHLMAN, 80, died at his home near Germanville on Sunday.
Funeral services will be held at the Gould Funeral Home in Brighton on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.; the Rev. Wayne Wilken will officiate. Burial will be in the Hope Lutheran Church Cemetery.
ZIHLMAN was born on Nov. 11, 1893 in Henry County, the son of Joseph and Barbara HOESCH ZIHLMAN. He was married to Ada DIERS on Feb. 27, 1921. A veteran of World War I, he was baptized and confirmed in the Hope Lutheran Church in Germanville. He had lived in his home for 51 years.
He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Gerald ANDERSON of Brighton and Mrs. Mathias TRABERT of Brighton, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by four sisters, Mrs. Marie FJELLAND of Des Moines, Mrs. Minnie McCLINTIC of Des Moines, Mrs. Margaret LEWIS of Wellman and Mrs. Eva WITTMER of Bowling Green, Ky.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, four brothers and one sister.
