C. CARLSON Rites Today

Last rites were held at 2 p.m. today for Carl A. CARLSON, 80, longtime resident of Fairfield who died Friday at 8 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been in failing health the past several years.

The services today were held at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry D. Yancey officiating. Burial was in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Carl A. CARLSON was born May 12, 1892, at Packwood. He was the son of Peter and Augusta LARSON CARLSON.

He was married July 3, 1915, to May MILES who preceded him in death. On Feb. 5, 1937, he was married to Helen CONRAD who survives.

CARLSON spent most of his life in the Fairfield Community and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters and three sons: Mrs. Lucy DAVIES, Sun Ol, Calif.; Mrs. Ida LEE, Fairfield; Mrs. Mary Ruth OLSON, Burlington; and Mrs. Clara HARPER, Fairfield; George CARLSON, Roundup, Mont; Jack CARLSON, Fairfield; and Robert CARLSON, Spencer.

He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a sister, Clara CARLSON, Chicago.

CARLSON was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
