Monday, March 19, 1973Funeral For C.E. MILLER
BATAVIA - Charles E. MILLER, 81, died Saturday at Bloomfield Manor Nursing Home.
Last rites will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Gospel Lighthouse in Batavia with the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Burial will be in the Batavia Cemetery with the Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Charles E. MILLER was born Oct. 9, 1891 at Sigourney, the son of Jake O. and Cora Belle BENISON MILLER. He has farmed in the Batavia Community many years.
He was married to Ollie Isabelle FULLER who preceded him in death. He married Julia HARREL April 14, 1962, who survives.
Other survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Katherine MILLER, Batavia; Mrs. Edna LONGERBONE, Mrs. Helen PETTIT, both of Des Moines, and Mrs. Phyllis SPANIER, Richland; 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Also a brother, Ralph, Hedrick; three sisters, Mrs. Neva SMITH, Douds; Mrs. Pearl DACEY, Redding, Calif.; and Mrs. Alice MITCHELL, Tucson, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers, one sister and four grandchildren.
