Stroke Fatal To Mrs. SHAW

Word has been received here of the death of Leona M. SHAW, 65, former Fairfield resident who died Saturday evening at her home in Springfield, Mo.

She was the wife of Ralph W. SHAW, former administrator at the Jefferson County Hospital. He took over his duties at the hospital in September, 1970 and resigned in January, 1973 to return to his native state of Missouri.

Mrs. SHAW died of a massive stroke according to word received here. In addition to her husband she is survived by two brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. SHAW was a native of Missouri and spent her entire life in that state except the time she lived in Fairfield. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, PEO and was a member of a number of civic organizations.

Services are pending at Springfield.

Admin. note: Buried in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Greene Co., MO, according to a Find A Grave memorial for her. She was born Nov. 15, 1910 according to the date on her gravestone. Husband Ralph died in 2002 and is also buried there.
