Bernice L. TURNER, 68, 1204 N. Elm, Ottumwa, died at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday at the Brooking Park Geriatric Center in Sedalia, Mo. She was a former resident of Fairfield.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. William B. Thornton officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. The casket will arrive at the funeral home Friday afternoon from Pilot Grove, Mo.
Bernice L. TURNER was born Dec. 25, 1913, in Jefferson County. She was the daughter of Fred and Lora SCHOOLEY IRELAND. She was married Feb. 21, 1936, to Harry L. TURNER at Fairfield. He died Aug. 31, 1966.
Mrs. TURNER was a member of the East End Presbyterian Church in Ottumwa; Eastern Star No. 39, Fairfield; Remembrance of Kings Daughters and Veterans Auxiliary, Ottumwa.
Survivors include a daughter, Juanita GERKE, Pilot Grove, Mo.; a son, Richard TURNER, Ames, and three grandchildren.
She is also survived by a brother, Floyd IRELAND, Fairfield; and a sister, Grace HESTON, Clear Lake.
