Dale Alvin HAMILTON, 79, of Chicago, Ill. died Nov. 21, 2012, near Pleasant Plain, as a result of an auto accident.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Antioch Church, north of Fairfield, with Rick Zickefoose officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be 1- 2 p.m. (sic) Thursday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and can be mailed to 508 South St., Brighton 52540.
Mr. HAMILTON was born Jan. 15, 1933, the son of Clarence Wayne and Florence WELCH HAMILTON in Fairfield.
Mr. HAMILTON lived in Chicago for the last 30 years.
He was a freight handler and securities agent.
Survivors include one brother, Hugh HAMILTON of Brighton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Kenneth HAMILTON.

Front PageMan killed in Pleasant Plain Road accident
A 79-year-old Chicago man, with ties to Brighton, was killed in a one-vehicle accident at 2:34 a.m. Thursday on Pleasant Plain Road.
Dale Anthony (sic) HAMILTON, the brother of Brighton resident Hugh HAMILTON, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer south on Pleasant Plain Road, when the vehicle left the road just past 116th Street. The Blazer went off the road on the west side of the road and rolled several times into a field damaging a fence.
Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to the accident.
The funeral for HAMILTON is set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Antioch Church, north of Fairfield. An obituary is on page 8.
